I've forgotten my password, what do I do?

Unfortunately if you’ve forgotten your password your data is lost. This is due to the fact that the only way to really keep your important information safe is to only allow one person (you) access to the data with a password.

If you’ve forgotten your password you can reset the data. To reset click on the “i” in the lower right hand corner of the widget. From this screen you can reset your data.

I've created a password, but can't enter in any data, what's wrong?

If you’ve created a password and CryptBoard has opened up, but you’re unable to enter in any data then you’re probably running into the Tiger glitch.

Currently there is a problem with CryptBoard running on Apple OS X Tiger which is causing it to be unusable, we are working on the problem and hope to have a fix shortly.

Please check back for updates, or contact support.

If you’re running leopard and have this issue please send us an email so we can address the issue.

How do I backup my CryptBoard database?

Your database is stored on your hard-drive at:

Macintosh HD > Users > [YOUR USER FOLDER] > Library > Preferences > widget-com.warptube.widget.CryptBoard.plist

I entered in all my information and closed CryptBoard and all my information is gone, what happened?

Older versions of CryptBoard were designed to keep your data while you left the widget active on your Mac OS X Dashboard. If you removed it from your Dashboard it will dispose of all the information you entered.

The current version of Dashboard should prevent you from losing you data even if you close it.

Please contact support if you experience data loss with the newest version of CryptBoard.

I've upgraded CryptBoard and it was working fine, but after installing Safari 4 it's stopped working, what's wrong?

Something in the Safari 4 upgrade process has inadvertently caused CryptBoard to break. The latest version fixes this issue, please download it here

Please note that you will need to reboot after downloading the new widget as the Safari 4 update is causing Dashboard to cache the old CryptBoard even after you’ve installed the new one.
